Making vet care feel less clinical, more comforting.
Banfield Pet Hospital is big in veterinary care, but their application felt childish and outdated. For this design challenge, I wanted to focus on a very specific user segment: shelter owners or pet-parents managing multiple pets.
The goal was not just a superficial redesign, but a complete reimagining of the visual language. Moving away from goofy and outdated to serious veterinary pet management while retaining trust.
Who are we designing for?
Moodboard
I focused on rounded shapes, soft drop shadows, and a color palette inspired by standard medical aesthetics.
Design System
I ensured to include various shades of my main colors in my design system to maximize dimension and visual hierarchy throughout the app.
